The majority of our efforts are not formal 'Programs' or require money. Rather, we speak directly and confidentially with people in need, listen and understand their situation, and provide actual help, often in the form of person-to-person service. For instance, visiting the sick and offering  prayer, conversation, friendliness, and genuine concern can go a long way towards improving someone's outlook. Helping someone with cleaning or yardwork can provide comfort. Providing a ride to the doctor can solve a transportation issue, lower stress just a bit, let someone know they have a Friend in time of need.
